Tree Removal
Crane-Assisted Tree Removal in Portsmouth, VA
Some trees cannot be safely climbed or dropped. For those, we plan crane-assisted removals that lift wood out piece by piece.

Overview
How we handle crane-assisted tree removal
When a tree is enormous, badly decayed or wedged between buildings, climbing it may not be safe and lowering wood on ropes may not be possible. A crane lets us pick large sections off the tree and set them down in the driveway or street, away from roofs and gardens.
Crane jobs take more planning: where the crane can set up, overhead lines, ground conditions and sometimes street permits. We handle the coordination and give you one price for the whole job.
Serving Portsmouth, Chesapeake, Norfolk, Suffolk, Virginia Beach, Hampton, Newport News, Smithfield, Williamsburg, Yorktown and Poquoson.

Is crane removal more expensive?
The crane itself adds cost, but it often makes a job faster and safer, and can protect you from much costlier damage. We will tell you honestly if a crane is not needed.
Do you need a permit to put a crane in the street?
Sometimes. If the crane has to sit on a public road, a city permit may be required. We will let you know and handle the paperwork side with you.
Are your estimates really free?
Yes. No charge and no pressure to book. You get a straight answer and a firm price.
Do you clean up and haul everything away?
Yes. Cleanup is part of the job: brush chipped, wood hauled and hard surfaces blown off. If you want firewood or wood chips left behind, just ask.
