Tree Removal
Tree Removal in Portsmouth, VA
Careful, sectional takedowns for homes and businesses across Portsmouth and Hampton Roads, with the cleanup included.

Overview
How we handle tree removal
Most trees we remove are not standing in an open field. They are leaning over a roof, crowding a driveway or tangled up with a fence. That is why we rarely drop a tree in one piece. Our climbers take it down in controlled sections and lower the heavy wood with ropes, so it lands where we planned instead of where gravity prefers.
Before anyone starts a saw, we walk the yard with you, point out the drop zone and talk through what stays and what goes. When the last piece is down, we rake, blow off hard surfaces and haul the wood and brush away unless you want to keep firewood.
Serving Portsmouth, Chesapeake, Norfolk, Suffolk, Virginia Beach, Hampton, Newport News, Smithfield, Williamsburg, Yorktown and Poquoson.

How much does tree removal cost in Portsmouth?
It depends on height, trunk size, what is underneath it and how easy it is to reach. A small yard tree with open space costs far less than a tall pine over a roof. We give you an exact number after a free look at the job.
Can you keep the wood for me?
Yes. Tell us before the job and we will cut the trunk into firewood lengths and stack it where you want it. Everything else gets chipped and hauled.
Do I need a permit to remove a tree?
Most trees on private residential lots in Hampton Roads can be removed without a permit, but some neighborhoods, HOAs and protected areas have their own rules. If yours does, we will tell you what to check before we schedule.
Are your estimates really free?
Yes. No charge and no pressure to book. You get a straight answer and a firm price.
Do you clean up and haul everything away?
Yes. Cleanup is part of the job: brush chipped, wood hauled and hard surfaces blown off. If you want firewood or wood chips left behind, just ask.
