Tree Removal
Large Tree Removal in Portsmouth, VA
The big ones need a plan. We bring the climbers, rigging and ground crew to bring tall trees down safely.

Overview
How we handle large tree removal
A 70-foot loblolly pine or a wide old oak can weigh many tons. Taking one down next to a house is about control, not speed. Our climber works from the top down, roping off sections so each piece is lowered rather than dropped, while the ground crew manages the lines and clears the landing zone.
Large removals produce a lot of wood. We chip the branches on site and either haul off the trunk sections or leave them cut to length if you want them. If the stump needs to go, we can grind it before we leave.
Serving Portsmouth, Chesapeake, Norfolk, Suffolk, Virginia Beach, Hampton, Newport News, Smithfield, Williamsburg, Yorktown and Poquoson.

How long does a large tree removal take?
Most single large trees are finished in one day, including cleanup. Very tall trees or tight access can stretch to a second day. We will tell you what to expect when we quote it.
Will your equipment damage my lawn?
We use the lightest approach that gets the job done and lay down protection where needed. Some marks on soft ground are possible after heavy wood is moved, and we will talk through access before we start.
Are your estimates really free?
Yes. No charge and no pressure to book. You get a straight answer and a firm price.
Do you clean up and haul everything away?
Yes. Cleanup is part of the job: brush chipped, wood hauled and hard surfaces blown off. If you want firewood or wood chips left behind, just ask.
